Meet Jason Velante
Hope Is Where the Heart Is
Jason Velante has been an educator since 2000. He has taught in Jersey City, Newark, and is currently an ESL Teacher in Paterson. His work with newcomers and English Language Learners lead to the publication of their journals. The collection, "Home of the Soaring Eagles" may now be borrowed from any Passaic County public library. Jason was the 2015 recipient of Most Innovative Teacher of the Year from United Federation of Filipino Educators, 2007 Lambda National Alumni of the Year, and was an elected trustee with the Wanaque BoE.
